The Dolphin in Reddish, Stockport is one of my favourite places for fish and chips in Manchester. They have a large gluten-free menu with many options. The gluten-free fish and chips are really good — the fish is good quality, the batter is crispy, and the chips are hot and fresh. The curry sauce was pretty good; it isn’t very spicy, so it goes well with the fish. I did find it to be slightly too salty though, so I’ll ask them to be a little lighter on it next time. The staff seemed friendly and aware of allergies and cross-contamination, with gluten-free options clearly listed in the shop. The negatives are only small — I did dislike the packaging, as everything was separate, which I felt was kind of wasteful and made it harder to eat. Having the fish and chips together in one box would have been handy (I like to eat outside in my car). This place does also seem to be more expensive than others, so it can be a little pricey.

I ordered salt and pepper chips which were £5.20 great portion for the price and very tasty , I ordered the gluten free crispy chicken for £8 the portion size is a bit small for the price but I do understand that it has alternative ingredients & the gluten free curry at £3.20 again small portions but everything is very tasty and I do highly recommend for everyone to try and they have got quite a few gluten free options for us celiac:)

The best loaded chips I have ever tried I had gluten free and my friend had normal it’s great to be able to eat the same thing! I must say captain is a really talented chef and full of humor always has me in stitches I will recommend this chippy to my associates Thanks for a pleasant experience Team captain

The food was cooked perfectly, chips are fresh and crispy. The staff are amazing, the boss is so funny and the staff and boss have a very good working relationship. Very Funny young man! Definitely try the loaded chips with a sneaky pot of Chinese curry Will 100% be returning!

A much wider choice of foods than your average chippy, including several gluten-free options. The fish is great quality, although my personal favourites are the salt & pepper chicken box and their newer loaded chips!

They are are a really good option for a local chippy. Fish, chips, mushy peas and gravy, all separate is my usual go to. The food tastes good, chips taste like the genuine old school British chips that you used to get wrapped in a newspaper! They are a friendly, jovial bunch. Service is sharp and snappy. Happy to recommend

The fish and chips are always excellent here, and the service is ok, with the wait for fish not too long. One staff member has a bad attitude, but apart from her, I can't fault the place.
